What Is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading providers of business sustainability ratings. The assessment rates companies on a scale from 0 to 100 across four key themes:
- Environment: Energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, water, waste, and pollution.
- Labor & Human Rights: Working conditions, employee health and safety, forced/child labor, and diversity.
- Ethics: Anti-corruption, bribery, fair competition, and data protection.
- Sustainable Procurement: Environmental and social practices of suppliers and supply chain transparency.
EcoVadis medals are relative sustainability recognitions awarded to companies based on their global percentile ranking among all businesses assessed by EcoVadis over the preceding 12 months. The EcoVadis Bronze Medal represents a score in the top 35% of assessed companies.
EcoVadis looks beyond individual products or facilities and evaluates how sustainability is embedded throughout an organization’s operations and business practices.
Today, around 50,000 companies worldwide participate in EcoVadis assessments every year, making it one of the most recognized sustainability evaluation platforms across global supply chains.
